Kayla and Chris Jones - Elopement in Panama City Beach FL
Preface: As a videographer in Panama City Beach FL, I don't often have the chance to participate in small weddings or elopements. Chris and Kayla thank you for inviting me to be part of your story.
This intimate ceremony with just your family was so special and you guys were an awesome and fun couple to work with.
Things to consider: When planning a wedding thinking about destinations is one of the first things. You consider indoor and outdoor, boho or beach, big or small space, accommodations for guests and so much more. It can be daunting to decide and sometimes just plain old stressful.
If planning the wedding is causing too much stress on you and your Bride or Groom... an elopement might be a good consideration for you.
Early in my marriage, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to see a counselor/ life coach on a weekly basis for several years. Some of this time was spent individually and some of the time was spent in counseling with my wife Marli. One of my favorite things I learned in our couple sessions was to remember it was me and Marli against the world. Not me alone against her. We had to be a team and fight for each other not against each other.
If you feel like you are against each other in the planning phase of your wedding I would urge you to take a step back and consider what this is for. It should be a celebration of the "Start". The goal is Marriage, not the wedding. You have to keep that in perspective, that after the day is over you have to live with the person and you don't want to be going to bed angry.
The Elopement: Kayla and Chris, I don't know how you ended up in Panama City Beach FL, for your elopement but it has always held a special place in my heart. Panama City used to have a reputation as a party town but with the right direction, this City has turned into one of the most regarded destination wedding areas in the World.
The day and spot were perfect. Treasure Island Resort at 5004 Thomas Drive
Panama City Beach, FL 32408 was beautiful and a perfect getaway for you and the family. With gorgeous water and beautiful white sand, you couldn't ask for a more perfect piece of paradise.
This day was so special for me as a videographer because Kayla had the idea of getting in the water after the ceremony for some intimate beach portraits and Chris was so cool with the idea as well and this made for one of my favorite wedding videos I have ever been a part of. Being footloose and care-free with only each other on your mind was something special to watch and capture.
It is always so special for me as a wedding videographer because I not only get to be part of every intimate and special moment on the wedding day, but I also watch those moments over and over again during the editing process. This Wedding Video was so fun to edit and watch these special moments.
Watching this sweet moment was so special because it was all the feelings, the little butterflies, remembering all the good times, and it takes you back to when you felt that same feeling. It is special to see and remember these times and because it was just a small intimate family ceremony those moments were not distracted... well except for a few beachgoers.
This elopement was done right... with a great location in beautiful Panama City Beach Florida, on a perfect afternoon, just focusing on the most important things... I loved being part of every sweet moment.
